Trigger

Trigger

Standing at 15.2 hands, his chestnut coat gleams in the sunlight, and his playful personality shines through every day. I first began fostering Trigger when I was bringing Nugget home from Sonoma Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation (SERRA). At that time, Trigger was facing a heartbreaking fate—his previous owner planned to have him euthanized due to his navicular condition. Thankfully, his farrier intervened and reached out to SERRA, giving Trigger a second chance. After fostering him for a year, it became clear that Trigger had found his forever home with me, so I proudly adopted him. Despite his navicular, which requires daily medication, Trigger lives life to the fullest.

He loves sharing sweet kisses in exchange for treats and has earned his title as the head of the herd. Every morning, you can find him frolicking with the other horses, running, bucking, and showing off his playful side. Trigger’s journey is a reminder of how love, care, and a second chance can transform an animal’s life. To continue supporting the rescue and care of animals like Trigger, we encourage donations or the gift of farm essentials that help ensure their well-being. Your generosity makes a world of difference for these amazing creatures, allowing them to thrive and experience the love they deserve.
