At Roxy's Ranch Haven, we don’t just shelter animals – we treat them like family. Each animal that comes through our doors is welcomed with open arms, and they receive the love, care, and attention they deserve. Here, it’s not just about rescue – it’s about creating lasting bonds and giving every animal the chance to feel safe, loved, and cherished.
Animal Intake & Adoption
We continue to make meaningful strides in animal intake and adoption—rescuing, rehoming, and creating new beginnings for animals in need. As a nonprofit, we recently rescued multiple dogs from a local shelter, offering them a renewed chance at a life filled with love and care. We also helped facilitate successful adoptions and provided support to fosters and rescue organizations. Additionally, we responded to urgent needs for supplies and assisted with on-site rehoming efforts. Our commitment remains strong—to provide a safe haven for animals and nurture a compassionate community that ensures every animal gets the care and support they deserve.
Veterinary Care & Health
We are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care and ensuring the health and well-being of the animals we rescue. In our ongoing efforts, we took our rescues to Brandner Vet for kennel cough treatment. We reached out to UC Davis and North Bay Animal Services to explore spay/neuter options, ensuring we are equipped to meet the needs of every animal in our care. Our dedication to veterinary care is a vital part of our mission to provide compassionate, comprehensive care and improve the lives of animals in need.
Infrastructure & Onsite Improvements
We continually strive to improve our facilities to ensure a safe and secure environment for both our animals and visitors. Recently, we installed permanent fencing around the pig pen to provide better protection and space for our animals. We also added a garden gate to improve front yard access, making it easier for our team to manage the property. In addition, we raised the fence height to over 6 feet by adding cabling, enhancing security and keeping our animals safe. These onsite improvements reflect our commitment to maintaining a secure and comfortable space for the animals in our care, while also providing a welcoming environment for our community.
Community Outreach, Volunteer Coordination & Events
In our ongoing efforts to support animal welfare and engage with the community, Roxy's Ranch Haven launched a successful donation drive on Nextdoor, securing over 75 dog crates, beds, and other essential supplies for our rescues. We also had the opportunity to speak at the Novato Rotary meeting, where we shared our mission and the positive impact we aim to make through our work. We continued to build valuable relationships, meeting with Hedge Realty to finalize plans for our February 15th community event. Additionally, we visited an addiction treatment center to explore ways we can further integrate healing through animal connection. Volunteer coordination has been at the heart of our success, as we welcomed volunteers from all ages, fostering a spirit of generosity and support for our rescues. Underdog Rescue also expressed interest in fostering, showing a growing network of compassionate partners working together to give animals the care they need.
Transportation & Rescue Missions
Roxy's Ranch Haven took a dedicated trip to LA, staying overnight to provide critical support for the Lancaster Shelter rescue. Upon returning, we ensured the dogs were acclimated to their new environment and grouped them by personalities for better care and interaction. Our commitment to the rescues continued as we provided consistent updates and ongoing care for the incoming animals, ensuring they received the attention and support needed for a smooth transition into their new lives.
Donations & Partnerships
Roxy's Ranch Haven made a significant impact by collecting a generous amount of donations for LA fire victims. We also received 80 lbs of dog food from compassionate donors, ensuring our rescues received the nourishment they needed. In addition, we partnered with the Labelle Foundation to supply 20 dog crates and connected with Rocket Dog Rescue to address their crate needs, further strengthening our collaborative efforts in animal care and rescue.
Administrative Progress
Roxy's Ranch Haven made important strides in our administrative progress by completing the nonprofit business license for the organization, ensuring we are legally equipped to operate and serve our community. We also submitted our shelter partnership application to strengthen our collaborations and finalized adoption paperwork for Tux, making his journey to a forever home official.
